Editorial Standards — Business Features Review

Editorial is free.: We do not accept payment in exchange for coverage, placement or favourable framing. No organization can buy a piece in Business Features Review.
We sometimes pay interview subjects.: On occasion we compensate a subject for their time. Where we have, the piece states it directly. Payment buys time, never editorial control, and never a guarantee that a piece runs or runs favourably.
Subjects review for accuracy, not approval.: We confirm quotes and factual details with subjects before publication. Final editorial judgment — framing, headline and what appears — remains with our editors.
Sponsored content is labelled as such.: If we publish material paid for by an organization, it carries a clear sponsored label and sits visually apart from editorial.
Corrections are published openly.: Corrections appear on the piece itself with the date and what changed. We do not quietly edit published work.
Sources and conflicts.: Where a writer or editor has a personal or financial connection to a subject, that connection is disclosed on the piece or the piece is reassigned.

Accountability

If we get it wrong.

Corrections are part of the record, not an embarrassment to be hidden.

Tell us directly

Send the piece title and the specific detail in question to our corrections address. You do not need to go through a press office.

We respond in writing

We aim to acknowledge every correction request within five business days, whether or not we agree with it.

The change is visible

Corrected pieces carry a dated note describing what changed. The original error is described, not silently removed.

Disputes are recorded

Where we decline to correct and a subject disagrees, we note the disagreement on the piece.
