Questions we get
Does it cost anything?
No. Not for a story, a profile or an event listing. You cannot pay us to write about you either.
What areas do you cover?
Weld, Larimer and Boulder counties. Mostly Greeley, Fort Collins, Loveland, Longmont, Windsor, Johnstown, Evans, Eaton and the smaller Weld County towns.
Do you pay people you interview?
Once in a while, for a long interview. When we do, the story says so. It does not buy any say in what we write.
Can I read it before it runs?
You get the quotes and numbers to check. The angle and the headline stay with us.
What makes a good pitch?
A decision with a before and an after. “We turned down an acquisition offer and here is what that cost us” is a story. “We are growing fast” is not one yet.
How do I report an error?
Email us the story title and what is wrong. Corrections go on the story with a date.
